Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 5, 2026

What we collect

  • Account details: name, email, date of birth, password.
  • Profile content: photos, video intro, prompts, city, preferences.
  • Activity: who you liked, matched with, and messaged.
  • Payment metadata: subscription status (we never see your card details).
  • Device and log data needed to keep the service running and safe.

How we use it

To run Zola: show you to other members, surface matches, deliver messages, process payments, prevent abuse, and improve the service. We use AI models to power Coach Zola and Practice; conversations may be reviewed for safety.

Who we share it with

  • Other members: only what's on your public profile.
  • Our processors: cloud hosting, payments, email, AI providers — under contract.
  • Law enforcement: only when legally required.

We do not sell your personal data.

Your rights

You can view and edit your profile at any time. You can request a copy of your data or delete your account by emailing infoatzola@gmail.com from your registered address. We respond within 48 hours.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. After deletion we remove personal data within 30 days, except where we must retain limited records for legal or safety reasons (e.g. payment receipts, abuse reports).

Security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest, scoped database access, and row-level security on all member data. No system is perfect — please use a strong, unique password.

Message Privacy and Safety Moderation

At Zola, your private conversations are exactly that — private. We are committed to protecting the confidentiality of the messages you exchange with your matches.

Our team does not read, monitor, or access your private conversations under normal circumstances. We will only review specific messages in the following limited, safety-related situations:

  • When you or another user reports a conversation or message. If a report is submitted, our trained moderation team may review the reported messages and the surrounding context to assess the situation fairly and take appropriate action.
  • When our automated safety systems flag a message for potential signs of fraud, scams, harassment, or attempts to violate our community guidelines. Flagged messages may be reviewed by our moderation team.

When we review messages in these situations:

  • We access only the specific reported or flagged conversation — never your other private conversations.
  • Every instance of message review by our team is logged internally for accountability and transparency.
  • Our moderators may remove or hide messages that violate our community guidelines. When a message is removed, a record is kept of what was removed, by whom, and why. We do not edit the content of your messages.

This approach allows us to keep Zola safe from scammers, harassment, and harmful behaviour, while respecting your privacy and the trust you place in us. We believe safety and privacy can — and must — work together.

If you have questions about how we handle your messages, please contact us at infoatzola@gmail.com.
